Supervisor Reilich has announced that Greece Town Hall will be open from 9:00am – 8:00pm on Friday, December 29th, 2017. The decision to extend business hours was made to accommodate residents interested in early payment of property taxes. In addition to extended hours, additional staff will be available that day to support Town of Greece residents who chose to pay their taxes prior to January 1st, 2018.

Greece Receiver of Taxes elect Andrew Conlon will be in Greece Town Hall on Friday, December 29th, to assist residents with processing their property taxes. He will be joined by former Greece Receiver of Taxes Kathleen Taylor to ensure residents receive prompt and efficient assistance.

Please note that Property Taxes can be paid at the Town of Greece office via cash, check, or money order. Residents choosing to make their payments at Greece Town Hall should enter our Service Mall entrance, take a number at the Tax Counter, and then proceed to our “Marriage Office” area of the counter where we will have added staff to print out your tax bills. Once you have received the copy of your bill, we ask that you ready your check, money order, or cash payments and wait until your number is called. This is being done to streamline our service to you. If you are able, Supervisor Reilich would like to encourage you to print your tax bill prior to coming to Greece Town Hall, which will help us in assisting you more quickly. Your tax bill will be available to print on the Monroe County website after 12:00am on Friday, December 29th, 2017. If you are unable to print your tax bill at home, we will have staff available on site to print them for you. Residents choosing to pay via credit card payments can ONLY do so online at www.monroecounty.gov. Please note that payments made through the Monroe County website will be subject to a 3% credit card payment fee. Please consult your tax professional or accountant to discuss payment options prior to taking any action.

Supervisor Reilich would also like to remind residents that property tax bill payments in the form of a check will be accepted via mail if they are post marked by Saturday, December 30th, 2017.

“We are always looking to improve service to our customers” said Supervisor Reilich. “I am hopeful that we can get folks on their way more quickly by utilizing additional staff and extending hours at Greece Town Hall on Friday, December 29th, 2017 for residents interested in processing their property taxes that day”.
