Councilman Conlon Announces
Barnard Crossing Branch to Add Saturday Hours

Newly elected Councilman Andrew Conlon, Supervisor John T. Auberger and the members of the Town Board are proud to announce that the Barnard Crossing Branch Library will be adding Saturday’s to their hours of operation.

“The Barnard Crossing Branch Library is a valuable asset for residents in the eastern portion of Greece,” said 3rd Ward Councilman Andrew Conlon, “I am please that my Town Board colleagues supported my recommendation to add Saturday hours for this valued neighborhood resource.”

“2009 was a milestone year for the Greece Public Library as they loaned over one million items. The success of both our main library and the Barnard Crossing Branch stems from the financial commitment that the Town Board has made to their success. We are continuing that commitment through the funding of these additional hours,” added Supervisor John Auberger, “the Town of Greece libraries continue to provide a valuable resource to our community.”

Beginning February 13, 2010 the Barnard Crossing Library will be open from 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. from September – May. The Library will be closed on Saturdays in June, July and August. Funding for these additional hours will come from current budget allocations.
