National Night Out at the
Dewey Avenue Family Festival

Supervisor Auberger announced that the 27th annual Nation Night Out will be held at the Barnard Fire Department and Bethany Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

“National Night Out is an international event designed to heighten awareness and generate support for local anti-crime efforts. The event sends a message to criminals letting them know communities are organized against crime. It is an important show of community and neighborhood solidarity”, Auberger stated.

This year’s event will feature carnival games courtesy of the Northwest YMCA, prizes and giveaways from Target and the NorthGate Neighbors, police and safety displays, free haircuts for children 10 and under from House of Hair, and a performance by the Greece Marching Band.

Sponsors for this year’s event are: the Town of Greece, Target, Barnard Fire Department, Senator Joseph Robach, Bethany Presbyterian Church, Two Doors Community Resource Center, NorthGate Neighborhood Association, Greece Chamber of Commerce, Northwest YMCA, and the Greece Marching Band.
