Can I Rent a Lodge for An Overnight Stay?
Only Boy and Girl Scouts camping allowed overnight stay. Prior to scheduling an overnight stay, the Parks Department must approve.

What Do the Lodges Have In Them?
Closed shelters have tables; lights; electrical outlets; bathroom; and are heated. Lodge only has kitchen.
Pavilion is heated and in addition has firewood with fireplace.
Open shelters have roof overhead; picnic tables; grill. There is no electricity in open shelters.

How Far Away Are The Bathrooms From The Shelters And What Types of Bathrooms Are There?
The facilities vary depending on which shelter you reserve. All parks with shelters have bathroom facilities but they are open only Memorial Day through Labor Day. All parks with only playground facilities have Port-a-johns May - September.

What Time Can I Get Into The Lodge Or Arrive At the Shelter?
Parks are open from 9 am – 10 pm; park facilities (shelters and lodges) are available from 9:30 am - 9:30 pm When Braddock Bay is reserved, an exact time of arrival and departure must be provided due to the scheduling of an attendant who is on duty to lock and unlock the building and to provide assistance throughout the day.

How Do I Make A Reservation For A Shelter Or A Lodge?
The procedure for reserving a shelter or a lodge starts with calling 225-2000, visiting Greece Town Hall, One Vince Tofany Blvd. or reserving on this website.

If a shelter or lodge is available, the reservationist will take your name, address, phone number, and group name. Payment must be received within 5 business days otherwise the reservation is deleted so that it can become available to someone else. Once payment is received you will be given your permit.

How Much Does A Shelter Or Lodge Cost?
The cost will vary depending of size and amenities. Range being from $40 for an open shelter up to $300 for the lodge and pavilion with kitchen.

  • Raptor Research may use Braddock Bay facilities at no charge.
  • Municipal office of the Town of Greece may use facilities at no charge for educational programs/training.

To reserve additional picnic tables, please call 225-2000. Additional picnic tables are also scattered throughout the parks for your use.
