The Receiver of Taxes is an elected position in the Town of Greece with a term of four years. New York State Law charges the Receiver of Taxes with the responsibility to collect all County, Town, Special Districts, School and Fire District Tax Levies within the Town of Greece. A procedural review is completed annually by an independent auditing firm to ensure the collection accuracy of the County of Monroe and Greece Central, Hilton Central, and Spencerport Central School Tax Warrants.

Kathleen A. Taylor is a life-long resident of Greece. Kathleen has served as Greece Receiver of Taxes over 24 years. Before being elected Receiver of Taxes, Taylor worked in bank operations and customer service at Security Trust Co. Kathleen is a graduate of State University at Fredonia. She served three years on the Town of Greece Board of Zoning Appeals. She is a member of the Board for the Northwest YMCA. Past President of the Monroe County Association of Town Clerks, Tax Receivers, & Collectors, past board member of the Greece Historical Society, and a 2005 recipient of the Greece Community Volunteer award.
