Supervisor Bill Reilich is pleased to announce that the Town of Greece, in its continued effort to streamline services for Greece residents, has designed a new office in the clerk’s area for the purpose of issuing Marriage Licenses to newly engaged couples.
Recently, you may have noticed some construction around the clerk’s area at Town Hall. In late fall the Town began the initial steps in separating and clearly defining our Clerk’s Office and our Tax Receivers office. This phase has helped to ensure that the services of both departments are defined for residents utilizing them on their visit to Town Hall. The next stage is the renovation of the combined office for marriage licenses and passport issuance, just in time for what tends to be our busy wedding and travel season. As always passports will continue to be provided every Thursday from 9am to 4pm for the convenience of residents.
“Since taking office I have made it a priority to help streamline services for the residents of our town” said Supervisor Reilich. “I am pleased to say that I am keeping to my promise in making these services at Town hall user-friendly and convenient for everyone. The creation of the Marriage License/Passport Office will improve customer service and provide additional convenience. We are now offering the ability to schedule your appointment with the Clerks staff for the purpose of applying for a marriage license prior to your visit. Walk-in appointments are also available throughout the week. I encourage all residents to utilize these offices and the many other services at Town Hall.”
