Supervisor Bill Reilich would like to invite the public to participate in the 11th Annual Erie Canal Clean Sweep, April 23rd from 9:00 AM to Noon at the town’s Historic Junction Lock Trail, located on Ridgeway Avenue just west of Long Pond Road.
This event is part of the statewide canal clean up coordinated by the New York State Canal Corporation and Parks & Trails New York in recognition of Earth Day. Supervisor Reilich would like to encourage as many folks as possible to assist in this effort.
Upon registering for the 2016 Erie Canal Clean Sweep, volunteers will receive further instructions on where to meet to receive assignments and supplies, as well as go over safety precautions.
