Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich was joined by Greece Town Board Members David Michael Barry Jr., Brett Granville, Andrew Conlon, and Diana Christodaro for the Annual Town of Greece Arbor Day Memorial Tree Planting event earlier today. This year’s tree was planted in memory of the Department of Public Works employee, Mr. Lance Towner.
“Lance was a loved member of the DPW family. He took great pride in his job and his work ethic was admired both by his fellow coworkers, and the residents of Greece he served. He befriended so many people here at Greece Town Hall, and he will be greatly missed by all.” stated Supervisor Reilich.
The tree chosen by Lance’s family was an Eastern Bud Tree, which is known for it’s unique branching patterns. It is a beautiful tree to represent Lance.
