Supervisor Reilich Announces Financial Services RV Coming to Greece

Supervisor Bill Reilich is pleased to announce that the Town of Greece will be receiving assistance from the New York State Department of Financial Services. An RV will be at Greece Town Hall tomorrow with trained professionals who will help residents navigate through insurance concerns. The exact hours will be announced later today. If your residential property was damaged as a result of the increased lake levels and you have been unable to come to a satisfactory resolution with your insurance agency, you are invited to speak with these professionals, who will walk you through next steps.

The mission of the New York State Department of Financial Services is to guard residents against financial crisis. Their goal is to ensure fair, timely and equitable fulfilment on the financial obligations of insurance providers and to encourage high standards of business practices and public responsibility by these providers. Town of Greece lakeshore residents encourage you to utilize these professionals.

“I spoke with Governor Cuomo directly today, and he has agreed to send trained professionals who can walk residents through claims and other insurance concerns. I have been tirelessly appealing for aid for our lakeshore residents, who have had properties greatly damaged by the rising lake levels. I hope that this resource will provide some direction and comfort to residents who have been having trouble with their insurance agencies.” said Supervisor Reilich.
