Today Supervisor Reilich was joined by Greece Town Board Members Brett Granville, Diana Christodaro and Andrew Conlon in a special dedication for the Street Machines Pavilion at Badgerow Park South. Supervisor Reilich and the Greece Town Board were joined by the Executive Board of the Street Machines of Rochester and many of their members in the unveiling of the sign.
“From this point forward, the pavilion at Badgerow Park will be known as “The Street Machines Pavilion”. said Supervisor Reilich. “On behalf of the Town Board and I, thank you for showcasing our town to so many of the car enthusiasts and for providing this family-friendly event for our residents as well”.
The Street Machines of Rochester have hosted their annual car show for 40 years in the Town of Greece. This annual outdoor auto show is held the second weekend of June each year, and this year had a record number of 500 cars on display, drawing people from throughout the community and as far away as Canada and surrounding states to the Town of Greece. These folks take advantage of our restaurants, shops and hotels, giving the town a big economic boost. Proceeds from this event are donated to groups and services within the community, such as Greece parks and Recreation and the Greece Volunteer Ambulance.
Badgerow Park South has been the home of the show each and every year, and Supervisor Reilich and the Town Board wanted to recognize their support of our community and acknowledge their 40 years here hosting the show in Greece by dedicating a pavilion in their name.
