Supervisor Reilich Sends Reminder for the Town of Greece Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration

Supervisor Bill Reilich would like to remind everyone that the Town of Greece Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration is happening soon. This annual event takes place on Tuesday, July 4th, and is open to the public. As previously announced, the 5K Freedom Run will kick off the day’s festivities and lead into a day filled with family friendly activities, including the Scooby Stars and Stripes Fun Run, bouncy-houses, food trucks, the Library Book Mobile, musical performances, and concluding with a fireworks spectacular. ADA compliant buses will be available at Greece Athena High School to transport people to the festivities, as there is no parking at the Greece Town Hall complex. Shuttles will begin departing at 4:30PM and will run continuously throughout the evening until 11:30PM. The full schedule can be found below:

Tentative Schedule of Events – As of 6/28/17

7:00 AM   – 5K Freedom Run Registration
(Call the Office of the Supervisor at 723-2450 to register)

7:30 AM   — 5K Race Begins

(All race participants must move their vehicles off the Greece Town Hall Campus by 10am)

9:00 AM — Scooby Stars and Stripes Fun Run

(All race participants must move their vehicles off the Greece Town Hall Campus by 10am)

4:00 PM – Children’s Activities Begin

(The Library Book Mobile will be at this year’s celebration)

4:30 PM – Food Trucks Open

6:00-7:30 PM – Opening Act Beatlemagic

8:00 PM – Our Featured performer “Micky Dolenz the Voice of the Monkees”

9:45 PM – Fire Works Display
