Supervisor Bill Reilich and the Greece Community and Senior Center Host “Beat the Heat Summer Carnival”

Supervisor Bill Reilich and the Greece Community and Senior Center today hosted the “Beat the Heat Summer Carnival” at the Greece Town Hall Campus. The Beat the Heat Summer Carnival is the second of three Wild Over Water (W.O.W.) Zone special events of the summer. The first event was the Summer Kick-Off, and the third event is the “Dog Days of Summer”, which will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd from 10:00am -1:00pm. For all events, normal splash pad rules apply. For more information regarding summer activities for kids, please call the Community and Senior Center at 723-2425.

There were more than 500 participants at this year’s Beat the Heat Summer Carnival. The carnival, which was free to W.O.W. Zone patrons, had several traditional carnival activities available, including face painting, a dunk tank, and pizza for sale.

“We were thrilled to see so many young residents at this year’s Beat the Heat Summer Carnival”. Said Supervisor Reilich. “It’s great seeing the community enjoy the carnival activities, splash pad, and our new Kids Canyon Playground”.
