Supervisor Bill Reilich and the Greece Police Department host Law Enforcement Recognition Day in conjunction with the Town of Greece Summer Concert Series featuring 90 West Band

Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich and the Greece Police Department will host a Law Enforcement Recognition Day in conjunction with the Town of Greece Summer Concert Series featuring 90 West Band. This event will be held Sunday, August 13th, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at the Greece Town Hall Campus. Both the concert and the law enforcement activities and demonstrations are free and open to the public.

Law Enforcement Recognition Day is a community event aimed at strengthening the relationship between residents and law enforcement officials, and helps to increase awareness to the different methods residents can utilize to ensure our community is kept safe. This year’s Law Enforcement Recognition Day will feature several law enforcement/safety vendors providing information on safety methods, including Public Safety Demonstrations, Anti-Bullying Demonstrations, vehicle and equipment display, Mounted Unit and a Child Identification Booth.

Raffle prizes generously supplied by the Walmart in Elmridge Plaza include a kids bicycle and helmet. Delta Sonic will also be donating car wash and detail passes. Starting at 1:30, Forest Hill Catering will be serving a chicken BBQ meal. Please note that the chicken BBQ meal will be $8, cash only. The money raised from that will be donated directly to the Greece Police Athletic League (GPAL), which is an organization that aims to bring the community and the police department together by engaging police officers and youth in sports. The program, which is free of charge and remains the only completely free Police Athletic League (PAL) program within New York State, is intended to be more than simply learning about or playing a sport; it is about building good relationships with police officers in a positive environment and promoting healthy youth activities.

90 West Band will begin playing at 2pm under the Greece Town Hall Pavilion. Their music, which has been entertaining Western New York and the surrounding areas for 17 years, features an array of country tunes from current artists to country classics.
