Supervisor Bill Reilich was pleased to join Rotary District 7120 Club President Chuck Gannon and other members of the Greece Rotary Club to announce that Rotary Club sponsored ADA accessible picnic tables are now in Greece Town Parks.
The Greece Rotary Club is a group of businesses and professional men and women from the Greece area who volunteer their time and resources to making a difference within the community. Their projects include community and club services, international services, and vocational and youth services. A few of the specific programs they have been involved in have included the Greece Rotary Annual Charity Golf Tournament, vocational scholarships for youth, the Nigerian Water Project, and the Special Olympics.
The Greece Town Parks picnic tables’ project exemplifies the mission of the Rotary Club by offering fellowship to disabled citizens, both young and old. These tables will give the handicapped person a sense of belonging to the family unit and not being left at another table or having to compromise for tables that do not fit their needs. The Greece Rotary Club generously volunteered their time and resources to assembling the tables and placing them in the parks.
“From playgrounds to athletic fields to canal paths, our Greece Town Parks are destination points for both Greece residents and visitors. I am thankful to the Greece Rotary Club for their interest and commitment in keeping our parks safe and inclusive environments. I am honored to partner with President Chuck Gannon and the entire Rotary District 7120 in introducing ADA accessible picnic tables to our parks! On behalf of all Greece residents, I extend my sincere appreciation for the time and effort the Greece Rotary Club pours into our community”. said Supervisor Reilich.
