Supervisor Bill Reilich and the Greece Public Library Announce Glimpses of Greece Calendars will be Available December 1st

Supervisor Bill Reilich is pleased to join the Greece Public Library in announcing that the 2018 Glimpses of Greece Wall Calendars will be available Friday, December 1st, 2017. The calendars, which celebrate the beauty of the Town of Greece and the creativity of its residents, will be available at both branches of the Greece Public Library on a first-come, first-served basis (one per family, please).

Images featured in the 2018 Glimpses of Greece calendar were submitted to the Greece Public Library’s 3rd annual Glimpses of Greece Photography Contest in August of 2017. Contest judges were local photographers Robert Bilsky, Jim Montanus, and Dick Bennett. Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich chose a “Supervisor’s Favorite” that also appears in the calendar.  All the winning images will be on exhibit at the library through December 31st, 2017.

“With 17 municipal parks and 8 miles of Lake Ontario shoreline, the Town of Greece has something for every resident whether you want to walk, bike, canoe, play on a playground, host a family gathering, play sports or cool off in our Wild Over Water Zone Splash Park” said Supervisor Reilich. “I would like to thank library staff and the Friends of the Greece Public Library for their coordination and sponsorship of this contest celebrating our great town!”

The Friends of the Greece Public Library sponsored the contest, including the printing of the calendar and photography workshops at the library. Questions about calendar availability and next year’s contest can be directed to the library at 225-8951.
