Supervisor Reilich is excited to announce that Greece Public Library Children’s Librarian Jennifer Preisser has been invited to speak at the Association of Library Service to Children (ALSC)! She will be hosted as a special guest in September of 2018 and will be presenting “Inspiring Sensory Play: Babies and Toddlers”. This program will provide participants with instructions on how to implement a sensory program on any budget, explore hands-on sensory stations, and learn how to turn a dollar store pool noodle into several early literacy activities. This presentation is based on Jen’s Baby Sensory Play program, which is offered at the Greece Public Library every month.
The Association of Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of the American Library Association, is the world’s largest organization dedicated to the support and enhancement of library service to children. ALSC’s network includes more than 4,000 children’s and youth librarians, children’s literature experts, publishers, education and library school faculty members and other adults dedicated to engaging communities to build healthy successful futures for all children.
