Supervisor Reilich is pleased to announce that additional staff will be available to support Town of Greece residents in processing property taxes on Friday, December 29th, 2017. This will assist residents who chose to pay their taxes prior to January 1st, 2018.
After receiving information about the newly passed Federal Tax Plan and how New Yorkers may benefit by paying their 2018 town/county taxes prior to January 1, 2018, Supervisor Reilich wanted to provide as many resources as possible to residents interested in paying their 2018 tax bills on the last day of business in the year 2017.
Greece Receiver of Taxes elect Andrew Conlon will be in Greece Town Hall on Friday, December 29th, to assist residents with processing their property taxes. He will be joined by former Greece Receiver of Taxes Kathleen Taylor to ensure residents receive prompt and efficient assistance.
Please note that Property Taxes can be paid at the Town of Greece office via cash, check, or money order. Residents choosing to make their payments at Greece Town Hall should enter our Service Mall entrance, take a number at the Tax Counter, and then proceed to our “Marriage Office” area of the counter where we will have added staff to print out your tax bills. Once you have received the copy of your bill, we ask that you ready your check, money order, or cash payments and wait until your number is called. This is being done to streamline our service to you. Residents choosing to pay via credit card payments can ONLY do so online at www.monroecounty.gov. Please note that payments made through the Monroe County website will be subject to a 3% credit card payment fee. Please consult your tax professional or accountant to discuss payment options prior to taking any action.
“We are always looking to improve service to our customers” said Supervisor Reilich. “I am hopeful that by utilizing additional staff that we can get folks on their way more quickly. I am also pleased to announce that Receiver-Elect Andrew Conlon, Town Clerk Cheryl Rozzi, and I have met and that the cross training of our Clerk and Receiver staff is currently underway. We certainly hope residents will appreciate an even higher level of service when coming to Town Hall for business that involves either office”.
