Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich would like to remind residents that signup forms for the Fifth Annual 5K Freedom Run are available on the Town of Greece website under the “Special Events” tab on the lower right hand corner of the website. You may also register through the Run Sign Up Website at https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Rochester/Greece5KFreedomRun. Hard copy registration forms are also available on the second floor of Greece Town Hall, 1 Vince Tofany Boulevard. The 5K Freedom Run will be a part of the Town of Greece Old Fashioned Fourth July Celebration.
Packet pickup will take place on Thursday, June 28th, Monday, July 2nd, and Tuesday, July 3rd at the second floor of Greece Town Hall from 9am-5pm. A t-shirt will be given to every person who pre-registers and a medal will be distributed to everyone who finishes the race. Check-In will take place at 7:00am on July 4th at the Greece Town Hall Campus and the race will begin at 7:30am. Day-of registration will be available at 7:00am on Wednesday, July 4th. The cost for registering the day of the race will be $30/person. The course will begin and end near the Town of Greece Court House (4 Vince Tofany Boulevard). Timing for the 5k will be conducted by Yen Timing Services. The course map is available on the Town of Greece website under the “Special Events” tab on the lower right hand corner of the website.
In addition to the 5K Freedom Run, the Town of Greece will also be hosting a “Super Hero Sprint” for children. This event will begin at 9:00am and will be one mile in length. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and a super hero mask. Registration will take place at the Community and Senior Center and the registration fee will be $6 per child.
