Supervisor Reilich Brings Representative from the DEC to the Town of Greece for Resident Informational Meeting on Coyotes

Supervisor Bill Reilich has announced that a representative from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will be in the Town of Greece Tuesday, August 7th from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. He will be giving a presentation on the topic of coyotes, which has been a topic of conversation for many residents in recent days. The presentation will be from 6:00pm – 7:00pm, with a question and answer session being held from 7:00pm – 7:30pm. This informational meeting will take place at the Greece Community and Senior Center Multi-Purpose Room.

Supervisor Reilich is happy to bring Scott R. Smith, who is a Wildlife Biologist, Division of Fish, Wildlife, and Marine Resources for the NYSDEC, to the Town of Greece to address our residents. Mr. Smith has presented on the topic of coyotes in New York State in the past and is very knowledgeable in the field.

“I thought it was important to get out in front of this issue regarding the state-wide rise in the Coyote population and I wanted to be certain our Greece residents were provided with as much information as possible” said Supervisor Reilich. “The Town Board and I are pleased to be able to provide this opportunity to attend an informational meeting with an expert in the field from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Greece residents are welcome to join us for the informational presentation and question and answer session on Tuesday, August 7th, from 6:00pm – 7:30pm at the Greece Community and Senior Center”.
