Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich is pleased to inform residents that the Governor has announced budget amendments to the Proposed 2020 Executive Budget which will ensure towns and villages are not adversely impacted by the elimination of the Aid and Incentives to Municipalities Program.
“As soon as the Governor’s proposed 2020 Executive Budget was released, I voiced my concerns about the proposal to eliminate AIM funding, as well as the timing of the cuts. I joined with several elected officials throughout Monroe County in my opposition to the proposed elimination” said Supervisor Bill Reilich. “Our voices were heard. Today, I am pleased to inform residents of the executive budget revision to restore the grant funds. Year after year we have worked to lower taxes and spending, if this proposal would have gone through it would have made that process much more difficult”.
