Supervisor Bill Reilich and the Greece Town Board Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Celebrating Opening of New Burger King Location in Greece

Thursday morning, Supervisor Bill Reilich was joined by Greece Town Board Members Bill Murphy and Diana Christodaro for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of a new Burger King restaurant location in Greece located at 45 Greece Center Drive.

Carolyn Sek is the General Manager of the 45 Greece Center Driver Burger King location. She has over 35 years of service with Burger King and is excited to spearhead the effort to open the newest location. Mike Abrams, the District Manager, has been with Burger King for over 30 years and is pleased to be working in Greece and providing employment and support to the community.

The Town has been working with the Burger King site developer since 2014 when portions of the site were rezoned for retail. In 2017, when the developer’s plans came into focus, the Town worked closely with them to lay out a road and utility network for multiple pad sites at one of Greece’s most prominent intersections. Burger King is the first of more than a half dozen development sites at this location ready to bring commerce to the heart of Greece and services to its residents. Several Town of Greece Departments worked with the developer for planning board site approval and building permits, in addition to assisting them with necessary negotiation approvals and working with them to meet their project timeline.

“I was honored to host a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of the new Burger King location at 45 Greece Center Drive, which has already employed 40 local people!” said Supervisor Reilich. “I am always looking to bring new food and service options to Greece residents. The Latta/Long Pond corridor is an excellent location for business, and I am pleased that developers have chosen to begin working in this area and serving the residents of this community”.
