Supervisor Bill Reilich and the Greece Town Board Recognize Special Community Members during 8.20.19 Town Board Meeting

During Tuesday night’s meeting of the Greece Town Board, Supervisor Reilich and Greece Town Board members Mike Barry, Bill Murphy, Josh Jensen, and Diana Christodaro recognized and presented proclamations to some special members of our community.

Peyton Penna and Preston Grant received special recognition for their incredible impact on our community. This summer, the boys decided to set up a lemonade stand and sell cooling drinks in the heat of summer for $0.25. After the first day, they had sold $12.00 worth of lemonade. When discussing what to do with the money, they decided they would use the money to buy school supplies for children who could not afford them. The next day, the boys set up the lemonade stand again and this time sold $100.00 worth of lemonade! They allowed services members – firefighters, police officers, veterans, and mail carriers – to drink for free. The boys split their proceeds and Peyton bought school supplies for his elementary school – Craighill Elementary, and Preston bought school supplies for his elementary school – Longridge Elementary.

“I would like to commend both boys for their incredible impact on our community and for showing all of us how kindness can make a difference” said Supervisor Reilich.
