Supervisor Bill Reilich and Greece Receiver of Taxes Andrew Conlon Announce Extended Hours for Tax Collection

Supervisor Bill Reilich and Greece Receiver of Taxes Andrew Conlon are pleased to announce that they will be extending business hours for tax collection purposes on Monday, September 16, 2019. Since the last day to pay school taxes without any interest charges is September 15, 2019, which falls on a Sunday (a non-business day), an extension is authorized or required to be granted to the next business day. Monday marks the last day to pay without interest ONLY if the individual is paying by installments. Full payments are due without interest October 1, 2019.

Regular business hours for the Tax Department are 9:00am – 5:00pm, but because we anticipate there may be a heavier volume of residents coming in, we will be offering extended hours. Therefore, the Greece Town Hall Tax Receiver’s Office will be open from 9:00am – 7:00 pm on Monday, September 16, 2019 to assist residents. Additionally, the post mark date for those residents choosing to mail in their tax payment is also September 16, 2019.

“We are happy to extend our regular business hours in an effort to assist our residents in making their school tax payments in a timely manner” said Supervisor Reilich and Andrew Conlon. “Customer service is always a top priority and we hope that the extended hours will be a convenience for residents looking to pay their taxes on Monday the 16th.
