Supervisor Bill Reilich and Greece Receiver of Taxes Andrew Conlon Encourage Residents to Consider Paying 2020 School District Taxes Online: Credit Card Convenience Fee Waived

In order to help ensure that proper social distancing requirements are met and to avoid potential large crowds in the Greece Town Hall Service Mall area, Supervisor Bill Reilich and Greece Receiver of Taxes Andrew Conlon are encouraging residents to pay their school district taxes online, by mail, or via the drop box.

This year, the traditional 3% fee for using a credit card is being waived for online payments for the 2020 school district taxes. Those residents wishing to pay by credit card can log into Monroe County’s website, select from Top Line Services and then select view/pay taxes online.

Residents may also pay their taxes via the Drop Box located outside the Service Mall area of Greece Town Hall. The lock box provides another secure method of paying their seasonal taxes. Please note: the only form of payment that will be accepted in the lock box is by check. Absolutely NO CASH will be accepted in the Drop Box. All Drop Box payments received will be processed on the previous day’s business date. Please be certain to include your payment stub with your check in order to receive your receipt. Additionally, residents are also able to mail tax payments directly to the following: Receiver of Taxes, One Vince Tofany Blvd., Rochester, New York 14612.

Of note, the Town of Greece only provides the service of tax collection on behalf of our three school districts. If you have any questions, concerns, or require additional information regarding your school district taxes, please call you respective district directly.

Greece School District: Megan Bradshaw (585-966-2329)

Spencerport School District: Rick Wood (585-349-5111)

Hilton School District: Liz Thornton (585-392-1000, ext. 6055)

“We encourage our residents to strongly consider paying their School District Taxes via using a method that does not require them to visit the Greece Town Hall Service Mall Tax Counter. There are many alternatives to paying School District Taxes this year, including the recently announced online payment option with the waived credit card fee” said Supervisor Reilich and Receiver of Taxes Andrew Conlon in a joint statement. “If a resident absolutely must pay their School District Taxes in person, we will have staff available at the Greece Town Hall Service Mall Counter available to assist. However, to help ensure the safety of everyone and reduce foot traffic to Greece Town Hall, we do ask that residents please consider paying their taxes using the choice of non-contact payment method available”.
