Dreams to Reality

When a run down skatepark was replaced with an important inclusive playground, we wanted to build something which could accommodate the thousands of skaters in our area. 

The Town of Greece assembled a team to layout a vision, and a funding source. The Town was awarded a grant from the Ralph Wilson Foundation via the Skatepark Project. 

With that, the dream began to take shape. 

Visions and Theme

Working with Pillar Design and gathering input from users, the goal was set to create a park that all types of non-motorized wheeled users of any skill level could enjoy. 

Just as important in the design of the skate surface, was the need to make the surroundings pleasing and environmentally conscious with landscaping throughout.

The Town of Greece’s origin has direct ties to the country of Greece so the theme was easy!

Built for skaters by skaters.

The good folks at Artisan Skateparks went to work in the summer of 2024 with completion that November. 

The teams at both Pillar Design and Artisan Skateparks are current or former skaters, which made way for subtle changes in elevations and curves during the building process for the ultimate skate experience. 

Star Level Sustainability

This project was awarded extra grant funds for exceeding requirements of environmental sustainability during the building process.

The facility is located on the northern most part of Greece Town Hall Campus, right outside The Center.

Plenty of parking is available on campus with just a short walk to the skatepark.
