Position Summary: This is a skilled position responsible for a variety of installation, maintenance
and repair tasks in one or more of the electrical and mechanical trades such as plumbing,
electrical repair, welding, sewage facilities maintenance, and municipal water distribution
systems. General instructions are received regarding work of ordinary difficulty while permitting
some leeway for planning the technical details.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pump station, lift station, centrifugal machinery, and
electrical trades”

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma,
plus one (1) year of experience as a skilled worker in one or more of the electrical, mechanical, or
construction trades.
NOTE: Additional experience may be substituted for the high school diploma on a year-for-year
basis.

Special Requirements:
If you are appointed, you will be required to have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New
York State or otherwise demonstrate your capacity to meet the transportation needs of the
position.
