Supervisor Bill Reilich, along with the Greece Town Board, are pleased to announce the re-opening of the Greece Community and Senior Center beginning Tuesday, September 8th, 2020.

“Our team has continued to offer classes and activities throughout the summer in the outdoor pavilion. They have worked hard to ensure a safe re-opening of the Community Center. We are looking forward to seeing residents enter this building once again” said Supervisor Reilich. “The staff has put together a monthly set of offerings starting in September. They are currently planning programs for October that will be made available to the public at some point this month”.

Although the Community and Senior Center will be open once again, there will be modifications to hours and activities.

Hours

The center will be open Monday through Friday. The hours are: 8am-5pm, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 8am-7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The center will be open for those participating in programs or activities ONLY. The senior lounge and seating in the lobby area will be closed to the public.

Fitness Classes

Fitness Classes will continue to be offered in the outdoor pavilion. Each class will cost 1 activity credit. Credits can be purchased at the front desk of the Community Center.

The indoor track will be open for 45 minute time slots beginning at 8am. Participants must call ahead to reserve 1 spot per day, up to one week in advance. A limited number of spots are available for each day. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Activities for Youth

The Town of Greece recognizes that school will look different for many children in the community. Activities will be offered throughout the week which encourages kids to be active and creative. All classes are limited in size and will require pre-registration or a call to reserve a space.

Activities for Older Adults

These pre-packaged meals are available to seniors ages 60 and over and can be picked up between 11:30-12 in front of the center. There is a suggested contribution of $3.50.

Pre-order for the meal is required. Call 723-2425 with questions.

This service will continue until the MCOFA permits the congregate nutrition program that serves patrons indoors.
